Hours:      Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm with a 1 hour lunch break

Location:  Shrewsbury, SY4 4RR

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join and support a dynamic team for multi-site credit control. The aim will be to process bank transactions, allocate payments, sales order invoicing and hire invoicing whilst conversing with and supporting staff members and customers on account queries.

This role requires confident ownership of processing for both sides of the ledger therefore having the ability to multitask and prioritise workloads is an absolute requirement. The individual should be able to work independently and as part of a team whilst being able to service internal and external customer effectively.

Responsibilities
On a day-to-day basis you will (this list is not exhaustive): 

  • Bank Processing (Receipts and Payments)
  • Credit Card transaction reconciliations and posting
  • Sales Order Processing
  • Hire Invoice Processing
  • Management of the accounts inbox – dealing with queries effectively
  • New Customer Accounts – credit checks and opening of accounts
  • Assisting with Month End tasks 
  • To support the Finance Team
  • Reviewing credit applications and new account openings

Candidate Requirements

  • Accounts administration experience
  • Good Excel skills
  • Ability to trouble shoot effectively
  • A Confident communicator
  • Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
