Territory Sales Manager

Part of the Dunstall Holdings Groups, Rea Valley Tractors (RVT) was established over 30 years ago and is a leading regional agricultural machinery dealer. We supply an extensive range of agricultural machinery throughout Shropshire, Staffordshire, Derbyshire, mid and North Wales, Cheshire and Lancashire and also sell high-quality used equipment across the UK and abroad.  We will have seven depots in Newport, Shrewsbury, Sudbury, Welshpool, Cheshire and Lancashire and North Wales.

About the Role

Our Territory Sales Managers sell new, used agricultural and/or turf equipment services to new and existing customers. Ensures preliminary customer relationships for a dedicated area.  The role has no direct reports and reports directly to Branch Manager.

Responsibilities
On a day-to-day basis you will (This list is not exhaustive):  

  • Represents the Dealership in the sale of machinery to customers in a defined sales area.
  • Executes all sales process steps to achieve high sales performance in conjunction with the sales tools available.
  • Maintains current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment, services potentially saleable by the dealership and attends relevant sales training events.
  • Monitors competitor activity and products and communicates to the sales Management accordingly.
  • Maintains current knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used goods.
  • Monitors competitor activity and products and communicates to the sales Management accordingly.
  • Conducts new equipment field demonstrations.
  • Executes goods delivery and follow-up, according to CSR.
  • Builds strong and loyal relationships with defined sales area customers.
  • Monitors trends in customers’ business activities and timely communicates to management.
  • Uses support from Sales Specialist when required.
  • Maintains customer and machine information within required CRM system as directed.

Candidate Requirements

  •  Good knowledge of agricultural/turf equipment and farming operational practices.
  • Ability to use standard computer applications, internet functions & sales tools.
  • Familiar with the manufacturers products and our competition.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret internal reports.
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends
  • Excellent customer relationship skills
  • Excellent attitude with integrity and honesty
